Magnetic personality

The IntelliSuite electromagnetic analysis module is specifically designed to address the needs of researchers in RF MEMS, microwave, and Optical MEMS by providing fast, accurate, cost-effective solutions for high frequency electromagnetic phenomena.

IntelliSuite makes it easy for anyone with a background in MEMS to safely navigate the pit falls of high-frequency analysis. Our RF MEMS module was designed with the user in mind, with no arcane interfaces or complex waveform models.

You will also find IntelliSuite easy on your budget, as there are no $100 k + packages to purchase.

A unique tool
Our Electromagnetics module is the only fully integrated high frequency solver available for MEMS simulation. Traditional high frequency tools are designed for planar or quasi-planar structures, not for the high aspect ratio structures of MEMS. These tools also fail badly when it comes to highly resonant mechanical structures.

Our engine overcomes these obstacles, and is in fact the only tool that can truly tackle RF MEMS modeling.

Additionally, we removed more limitations found in most other high frequency tools by adding support for lossy conductors and dielectric discontinuities. Best of all, it tightly integrates with the IntelliSuite environment, providing you with all the tools for your MEMS needs!

Custom RF MEMS applications
Whether you are designing an RF Switch, a filter, a tunable capacitor, an inductor, a VCSEL, an antenna, or a waveguide, you will find IntelliSuite indispensable. You can also use the tool to characterize the parasitic effects from your packaging, absolutely essential for any high frequency device.

RF and electromagnetic applications are diverse, and many are still emerging. By controlling all aspects of the software, from mesh generation and pre-processor to engine and post-processor, and by staying in direct contact with industry engineers through our design and manufacturing services, IntelliSense quickly and effectively tailors each module to the needs of expanding industries. We have a flexible electromagnetics MEMS engine that can be fine tuned for your needs.

Software highlights

MoM-Based EM Simulator

The Electromagnetic module is a full-wave, method-of-moments based electromagnetic simulator solving the current distribution on 3D and multilayer structures of general shape. It has been widely used in the design of RFMEMS, MMICs, RFICs, LTCC circuits, microwave/millimeter-wave circuits, IC interconnects and packages, HTS circuits, patch antennas, wire antennas, and other RF/wireless antennas.

1. Modeling true 3D metallic structures in multiple dielectric layers in open, closed or periodic boundary.

2. High efficiency, high accuracy and low cost electromagnetic simulation tool on PCs with Windows based graphic interface. Running on PCs, our simulator is faster than other field solvers on high end workstations.

3. The MS-Windows based menu-driven graphic interface allows interactive construction of 3D and multilayer metallic structures as a set of polygons. Numerous editing capabilities are implemented to ease the construction and manipulation of polygons and vertices.

4. Built-in library for construction of complicated structures, such as circles, rings, spheres, rectangular and circular spirals, cylindrical and conical vias, cylindrical and conical helices. You can build complicated 3D and multilayer structures in seconds or minutes.

5. Automatic generation of non-uniform mesh with rectangular and triangular cells.

6. Automatic Edge Cell feature allows expert results for novice users.

7. Flexible de-embedding of circuit parameters.

8. Modeling structures with finite ground planes and differential feed structures.

9. Accurate modeling of true 3D metallic structures and metal thickness.

10. Electromagnetic optimization.

11. Modeling of  thin, lossy and high dielectric constant substrates.

12. Mixed electromagnetic and nodal analysis.

13. Efficient matrix solvers.

14. Visual display of S, Y, and Z-parameters.

15. Extracting SPICE or RLC-equivalent circuits.

16. 3D and 2D display of current distribution, radiation patterns and near field.

17. Magnetic current modeling of slot structures.
